Washington Redskins vs Baltimore Ravens live

Slow starts have become a habit for the Washington Redskins this preseason. As luck would have it, though, so have comebacks.

Staring a double-digit deficit in the face yet again, Washington rallied behind starter Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy. The duo combined to complete 30-of-39 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns.

Unlike the previous week, the offensive line provided the quarterbacks ample time to tally these numbers. The team surrendered zero sacks. This isn’t to say, though, the unit was perfect.

The strength of the team all preseason, the running game struggled to gain traction in this one. On 34 carries, the Skins netted 111 yards, much of which came against Baltimore’s reserves.

Week 3 is a dress rehearsal for most teams for their season openers, so fans can expect their starters to implement the plays and schemes they may be looking to use when the season starts in mid-September

Baltimore have a long way still to go in their preparations, and last week’s 17-40 blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles showed they still have much work to do on both sides of the ball.

With a season opener on September 13 against the Denver Broncos at Mile High, the Ravens must to much better or they could face an opening day embarrassment.

Week 3 in the NFL preseason is a big one, with three games taking place on Friday night, and 11 more taking place on Saturday.
